- Moong Dal(Passi paruppu) - 1 cup. (dry roast till hot)
- Channa dal(Kadala Paruppu) - 1 cup.(dry roast till hot)
- Salt and Asafoetida.
- Red chilli powder.
- Butter.
- Oil for frying

- Urad dal flour - 1/2 cup
- asafetida - pinch
- cumin - 1 tsp
- Water as required
- Salt - 2 tsp
