Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread (toasted)
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1 heirloom tomato (sliced)
- 2 Romaine lettuce leaves
- 8 tbsp mayonnaise
- Cracked black pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the bacon slices in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crispy and browned. Flip after 5 minutes, then cook for 5 minutes more. Set aside.
Step 2
Spread each slice of bread with 2 tbsp mayonnaise.
Step 3
Top two slices of bread with the romaine lettuce leaves.
Step 4
Add the heirloom tomato slices.
Top with a pinch of freshly cracked black pepper.
Step 5
Add the bacon.
Step 6
Top with the remaining slices of bread (mayonnaise-side down).
Step 7
Serve!
