Perfect Pear Applesauce

Ingredients
- 2 bartlett pears
- 1 red delicious apple
- 1 granny smith apple
- 1 golden delicious apple
- 2 jars red hot cinnamon imperials (2. oz each)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 oz orange juice frozen concentrate
- 2 oz water
- 1/2 a lemon’s juice
Preparation
Step 1
Core and slice the pears and apples, leave skins on.
Step 2
Combine the fruit, red hots, cinnamon, orange juice and water in a large saucepan. On medium-high heat, bring to a simmer.
Step 3
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
Step 4
Remove cinnamon sticks and pour the sauce into a blender. Add the lemon juice and blend until smooth and has reached desired consistency. Makes approximately 4 cups.
