Ingredients
- 1 sleeve of saltines with salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 bag (12oz) chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Line a jelly roll pan with foil. Put crackers in bottom of pan.
Step 2
Caramelize butter and brown sugar (cook over low heat and boil briefly).
Step 3
Spread butter mixture over crackers.
Step 4
Bake 5 min at 350°.
Step 5
Turn oven off. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top and put in oven for 2 min.
Step 6
Spread chocolate, chill, then break into chunks.
Step 7
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired.
