Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

By

My family loves this meatloaf and it's the only kind they will eat. The meatloaf is covered in a wonderful sweet and sour sauce that is easily made on the stove. It is easy to make and it is very good to.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, eggs, onion flakes and 1/2 of the can of tomato sauce. Mix together well and place into a 5x9 inch loaf pan.

Step 3

Push the meatloaf down into the pan forming a loaf, so that the sweet and sour sauce will be able to go all over the meatloaf.

Step 4

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Step 5

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, white sugar together.

Step 6

Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

Step 7

After meatloaf has cooked for 50 minutes, remove from oven and pour sauce over the top of the meatloaf. I always leave a little sauce left in the pan to garnish the top of slice meatloaf before serving.

Step 8

Return to oven and bake at 350 degrees for 10 more minutes. Let sit for about 5 minutes before removing from pan.
