Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups cake four
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 whole milk
  • 3 large egg white, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Frosting
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 6 tablespoons heavy white cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 350F
Whisk flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl.
Whisk milk, egg,sour cream and vanilla in another bowl until sour cream completely incorporated

Step 2

beat butter and sugar in large bowl until very light and fluffy about 8 minutes, add flour mixture in 2 additions alternately beating on low speed until blended between additions.

Step 3

divide butter equally among paper line about 1/3 cup each
bake 20 minutes

Step 4

Frosting
beat powder sugar, butter and 2 tablespoon sour cream and heavy cream in large bowl until blended continue beating add 1 tablespoon cream at a time until mixture in light and fluffy about 3 minutes.

Step 5

refrigerate frosting just until think enough to pip
