Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup Crisco
- 2/3 to 3/4 cup milk

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees,
Step 2
Add flour baking powder and salt to large bowl,
Step 3
Cut Crisco into the flour mixture with pastry blender or fork,
Step 4
Add milk, a little at a time, just enough for the dough to come together. Do not overwork, or biscuits will be hard and tough, instead of soft and fluffy,
Step 5
Turn dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface, and pat or roll out to 1/2 inch thick,
Step 6
Cut biscuits with a 2 inch circle cutter, and place on an unlined, ungreased cookie sheet, 2-3 inches apart,
Step 7
Bake for 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees or until tops are lightly golden brown.
