Lemon and Garlic Marinated Grilled Chicken 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 4-5 lbs chicken pieces
  • 6-8 lemons
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Adobo or seasoned salt
  • 1 cup cup olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, oregano, and Adobo, place in large marinating container

Step 2

Slice lemons on a plate with edges, to catch any lemon juice.
Slice onions, add lemons, lemon juice, and onions to chicken, add vinegar.

Step 3

Smash garlic cloves with back of a spoon to break open, and add to chicken.

Step 4

Drizzle olive oil over chicken.

Step 5

Close container and shake vigorously. Refrigerate overnight, or for up to 2 days.

Step 6

Shake container again before grilling to coat chicken evenly with lemon oil.

Step 7

Place chicken on grill, cover with onions and lemons if desired.

Step 8

Grill until slightly blackened.
*DO NOT put cooked chicken back in the lemon oil or container
