"Crispy Creme" like Doughnuts

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 5 C. all purpose flour
- 2 packages of yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 C. slightly warmed milk
- 2/3 C. sugar
- 1/3 C. shortening
- GLAZE
- 1/3 C butter
- 2 C. Powdered sugar
- 5 tsp. hot water
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the eggs, milk, shortening, 2 C. flour, and salt. Grab a wooden spoon and beat mixture at low speed for 30 seconds and continue to beat on medium speed for 90 seconds. Pour in the remainder of the flour and mix.
Step 2
Cover and allow mixture to rise in a warm place for 1 hour. After risen, Put dough on a well floured surface and roll around lightly in order to cover with flour.
Step 3
Carefully roll dough 1/2" thick, Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Cover doughnuts and allow dough to rise until doubled (about 45 mins). Heat up the oil until 350 degrees, deep enough to fry doughnuts. Fry about 1 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove carefully from oil and drain on paper towel or brown paper. Dip doughnuts in glaze then set aside to dry/cool.
