Ingredients

  • 2 cans stewed tomatos
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 round steak pounded and cut in 8 pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can water
  • cooking oil
  • 3 cups flour seasoned with salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Pound the pieces of steak with flour and set aside. Cook sliced onions in 1/2 cup oil til lightly brown. Take them out and cook the floured steak til brown on both sides in the same pan.

Step 2

Add the cooked onions to the steak and add the tomatoes, and add enough water to cover it. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 hours and 30 min or until tender..check to see if it needs more water thru out cooking.

Step 3

Add a little flour to the pan to thicken the gravy.
