This cheesecake is the easiest thing in the world to make and you can use so many variations to make it anything other than a normal cheesecake

Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 2 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • CHEESECAKE:
  • 20 oz cream cheese (usually 2 blocks, I use Philadelphia Cream cheese)
  • 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 3 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar, stir in butter.

Press into bottom and up 1 inch inside of greased 10 inch spring form pan. Place pan on baking sheet. Bake at 375 F for 8 minutes. Place pan on wire wrack to cool.
Reduce oven to 325 F.

Step 2

In a larger mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream or yogurt and flour. Beat well. add eggs, beat until just combined. Stir in vanilla. Poor into crust.

Step 3

Return pan to baking sheet.

Step 4

Bake at 325 F for 50-60 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes. Carefully run a butter knife around edge of pan to loosen. Cool

You can use any kind of yogurt to change the flavor of the cheese cake.

Also, make sure the cream cheese and eggs are at room temp before using. You get a better cheesecake out of it...

You can garnish with any kind of topping or leave it as is.

If using oreo crumbs to make a cheesecake, you don't need to add the sugar to the crust.
