Ingredients

  • LOAF -
  • 1lb medium ground beef
  • 1 large onion (diced finely)
  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion soup mix
  • 1 egg
  • bread crumbs (approx 1/2 cup)
  • seasonings to taste (I usually add parsley)
  • SAUCE -
  • 1 small can *either V8 OR tomato soup
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 of your diced onion leftover from loaf

Preparation

Step 1

mix ground beef, egg, half of diced onion & half the envelope of onion soup mix, add bread crumbs last, form into loaf shape place in Pyrex dish

Step 2

blend V8 or tomato soup with the other half of your diced onion, tsp of sugar, the other half of onion soup mix and 1/2 cup water, mix well, pour over loaf

Step 3

at 375 bake 40-45 min or until lightly crispy on top of the loaf

Step 4

serve with rice or potatoes of your choice
(both can be baked in sauce around loaf if desired)
