Ingredients

  • 1 box of refrigerated pie crust
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 14 oz can of chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 1/2 cut up beef
  • 2 cups of potatoes
  • optional: onion

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 425. Make pie crusts as directed on box

Step 2

In 2 quart saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add onion (optional)

Step 3

Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually stir in broth and milk, cooking and stirring until bubbly and thickened

Step 4

Stir in meat and potatoes. Remove from heat. Spoon in crust. Top with second crust and seal the edge. Cut slits into the top.

Step 5

Bake 30-40 minutes. During last 15-20 minutes of baking, cover the edge of the crust with foil.

Step 6

Stand for 5 minutes before serving.
