  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbs milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan.

Step 2

Whisk together the flour and baking powder, set aside.

Step 3

Beat the butter, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Mix in the flour mixture until the dough forms a ball.

Step 4

Press the dough into the prepared pan, brush with the milk.

Step 5

Bake until golden brown and still somewhat soft in the centre, about 35 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove.
