Ingredients
- First:
- 2 cups Raisins
- 1 cup Water
- Second:
- 1 cup Shortening
- 2 cups Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Third:
- 4 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1-1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Allspice
Preparation
Step 1
Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Step 2
Mix together second set of ingredients.
Step 3
Sift together third set of ingredients.
Step 4
Add to raisin mixture. Mix well.
Step 5
Bake @ 375 for 12 minutes.
