Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 1 pound shortening or lard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 egg
- water
Preparation
Step 1
Cut first 3 ingredients with a pastry cutter. Using only 4 cups of flour at first.
Step 2
Add vinegar and egg to measuring cup. Fill to 1 cup with cold water.
Step 3
Mix liquid into dry ingredients. Add last cup of flour if needed. Do not over work dough.
