Ingredients
- 1 cup Fancy Molasses
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Shortening
- 1 1/2 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Egg
- 2 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 2 tbsp Water

Step 1
Mix all ingredients together except baking soda & water.
Dissolve baking soda in 2 tbsp. water. Mix well & then add 1 cup boiling water.
Add to above ingredients.
Bake for about 1 1/2 hours or until done @ 350.
