Ingredients

  • First:
  • 2 cups Raisins
  • 1 cup Water
  • Second:
  • 1 cup Shortening
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • Third:
  • 4 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice

Preparation

Step 1

Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Step 2

Mix together second set of ingredients.

Step 3

Sift together third set of ingredients.

Step 4

Add to raisin mixture. Mix well.

Bake @ 375 for 12 minutes.
