Ingredients

  • soft butter or oil spray for greasing the pan
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 8 ounces of melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups of cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees, butter an 8-inch square pan.

Step 2

In a bowl, beat the eggs on medium speed until fluffy and light yellow. Add both the white and brown sugar. Add the remaining ingredients one and a time, and continue to mix.

Step 3

Pour the mixed batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 45 minutes. You can check the "doneness" of the brownies by inserting a toothpick into the center of the brownies; if the toothpick comes out clean, the brownies are done.

You need to let it come to a nearly complete cool down before cutting into the brownies. Add a spoonful, or two, of vanilla ice cream next to your brownie and enjoy your made-from-scratch brownies.
