Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 3/4 cup oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375•

In a mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until creamed.

In a big bowl mix all the dry ingredients, with the exception of the raisins.

Add eggs, beating them in, one at a time. Beat in vanilla.

Slowly mix in all the dry ingredients until incorporated.

Stir in the raisins.

Make small balls out of the dough and flatten slightly.

Place on cookie sheets and bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden.
Allow them to cool on the baking sheets for a minute, before removing them and cooling on a wired rack.

Substitute chocolate chips for the raisins for a chocolatey treat!
