  • 1 box cake mix (any flavor)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 container matching flavor frosting
  • 3 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, beat dry cake mix with butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup. In bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 pan, press remaining crumbly mixture.

Step 2

In same bowl, beat cream cheese and frosting with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in eggs until blended. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture.

Step 3

Bake about 45 minutes (42 for dark or nonstick pan) or until set. Cool completely.

Step 4

Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours until chilled.

Step 5

For bars, cut into 6 X 6. Store covered in refrigerator.
