Ingredients

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • roasted cumin seeds crushed 1 tsp
  • roasted whole coriander crushed 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • All spices powder 1/2 tsp
  • raw papaya 1 tbsp
  • lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Green chillies 3-4
  • Salt to taste
  • half capsicum cut in slices
  • Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  • for garnishing
  • julienne Ginger

Preparation

Step 1

Marinate lamb with raw papaya, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, crushed cumin, crushed coriander, lemon juice, all spice powder, yoghurt, and salt.
Marinate atleast for 1 hr

Step 2

Blend the 2 tomatoes. Strain the seeds.

Step 3

Heat oil and the marinated lamb. Add the blended tomatoes. Cook until lamb is tender. If the gravy becomes too thick add water.

Step 4

When lamb is cooked and the gravy reaches the desire consistency add the green chillies cut in length wise, capsicum and coriander leaves. Let it simmer for 5 - 10 minutes.

Step 5

Garnish with julienne ginger and serve with roti or naan.
