Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter at room temp.
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

Using a mixer beat butter until light.

Step 2

Stir in cornstarch and sugar.

Step 3

Gradually add the flour until soft dough forms.

Step 4

Form dough into disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Place in the fridge for 30 min.

Step 5

Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thick.

Step 6

Cut our shaped using a cookie cutter and place on un-greased cookie sheet.

Step 7

Place your full cookie sheet in the freezer for 10-15 min.

Step 8

Preheat oven to 275.

Step 9

Take cookies from freezer and bake for 30 min. Cookies should not brown.
