Crockpot Garlic Pesto Chicken with Pasta in a Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients
- For the Chicken
- ¾ bottle of Lawry's Herb and Garlic Marinade with lemon juice
- 3 T of pesto
- ¼ c olive oil
- 3 boneless chicken breasts
- For the Sauce
- 8 ounces of of pasta
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2-3 cloves of chopped garlic
- 3 T of pesto
- 1/2 c of chicken broth
- 8 ounces of tomato sauce
- 1 c of half and half cream
- 2 T flour
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For the Chicken
Cut chicken into 2" pieces
Step 2
For the Chicken
Cut chicken into 2" pieces
Step 3
Marinate over night if you have time
Step 4
Toss it in the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours
Step 5
For the Sauce
Get the pasta cooking
Step 6
Heat the olive oil and the garlic and saute lightly
Step 7
Add the pesto and chicken broth until it has cooked down
Step 8
Add tomato sauce and then the half and half
Step 9
Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the pasta in
Step 10
Add flour one T at a time if the sauce is too thin for you liking.
Serve with chicken on top of the pasta
