Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Glaze:
  • 2 cups sifted icing sugar
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9x13 cake pan.

Step 2

Whisk together all the dry ingredients for the cake, then add the wet, mixing until smooth.

Step 3

Spread batter in pan and set aside.

Step 4

In a separate bowl beat butter for filling until creamy, add remaining ingredients and beat until fluffy.

Step 5

Place spoonfuls of the filling over top of the batter in pan, then with a knife or offset spatula gently swirl filling into cake batter. (try to stay away from the edges so it doesn't burn)

Step 6

Bake the cake for 30 min. Remove from oven and cool for 15 min.

Step 7

While cake is cooling combine all the ingredients for the glaze and pour over the cake after the 15 min.
