Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
- Add coconut, cherries, walnuts, raisins (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Mix first 5 ingredients together. In a large bowl beat brown sugar, butter, vanilla at medium speed until fluffy. Beat in one egg at a time. Add flour mixture in 3 additions, slowly on low speed until combined. Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts and any other dry fruit you like.
Step 2
Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper to prevent cookies from burning. Using a 1/4 cup cookie scoop, place dough 2 inches apart. Slightly flatten each cookie. Bake at 325 F until just turning brown. They are better if they are under cooked.
Dough can be frozen.
