Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350F.

Step 2

Mix flour, 1 cup brown sugar and soft utter in large mixer bowl. Beat on medium for 2 mins until mix resembles fine crumbs. Pat the mixture evenly onto the bottom of 9x13" baking pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over crumbs.

Step 3

Mix 2/3 cup butter and remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar in small pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until it's bubbly. Cook and stir 30-60 seconds more. Pour it into pan, spreading evenly over nuts/crust.

Step 4

Bake 18-20 mins or until entire surface is bubbly. Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle it with chocolate pieces. Let stand 2-3 minutes to allow chocolate to melt; use a knife to swirl the chocolate a bit, spreading it to all edges. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Use a sharp knife to cut into 48 squares. Store in fridge.

Step 5

Enjoy!
