Chicken- Portuguese saucy Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1chicken butterflied
  • 2t garlic
  • 1 1/2 t salt
  • 1t chilli powder
  • 1t crushed red chillies
  • 1/2 t dhania jeero
  • 1/2 t arad
  • 1t lemon pepper
  • 1T lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Marinate the chicken for a couple of hours or overnight.

Step 2

In a pot melt butter/ghee. And cook chicken until most of the water has burned out.

Step 3

Sauce:
1 cup fresh cream
2T tomato paste
3T nandos garlic peri peri
3T nandos xtra hot peri peri
1 slice garlic butter

Cook all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan, until it comes to a boil.

Step 4

Place chicken in an oven tray and pour sauce over chicken.

Step 5

Fry potato wedges, arrange in chicken tray and add onion rings and 3 colour julienned peppers, over chicken.
Garnish with Slit green chillies and chopped dhania

Step 6

Bake until the sauce boils.
Serve with savory rice!
