Rice- Layered Casserole

1kg chicken fillet or steak cut in strips
3 tspn mayonnaise &peri peri sauce
1 x Tomato paste
1 tspn chicken spice
¼ tspn arad (Turmeric)
1 tsp ginger garlic
1 tsp chilly powder fine and coarse
1 tsp dhana jeero
Salt to taste

Ingredients

  • 1kg chicken fillet or steak cut in strips
  • 3 tsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tsp peri peri sauce
  • 1 x Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp chicken spice
  • ¼ tsp arad
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic
  • 1 tsp chilly powder fine and coarse
  • 1 tsp dhana jeero
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the meat in the above spices.
Cook on high first then low heat.
It must be saucy.

Step 2

2 cups rice cooked
Braise onion in ghee
Add 1 cup mixed veg.
Robot peppers cut in strips
1 tomato grated
1 tomato cubed
tomato sauce.

Step 3

Cube and fry potatoes (optional).
¼ tsp jeeru
¼ tsp Chilli powder
¼ tsp black pepper.

Step 4

Mix in the stir fry and rice together well and
set it in an casserole dish.
Mix the potatoes and meat together and layer it over.

Step 5

Steam in oven as you would normally for rice.
When steaming pour the vagaar over (which should be sizzling on the stove.)

Step 6

Serve with salad and Lays Chips
