Ingredients

  • 1 c vegetable oil
  • 2 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c self rising flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3 c peeled and chopped apples

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350, then combine oil, sugar, and eggs

Stir in flour

Add vanilla, walnuts, and apples.

Step 4

Spread in prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes. Cool for 2 hours. Then prepare frosting. Frosting recipe follows:

1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar, packed
1/4 c evaporated milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

METHOD:

  7. Bake at 340°F/170°C for 12 minutes, or until golden.

  8. Remove from oven and let cool.

  9. Pour the salted caramel into the center groove,and drizzle with dark chocolate.
