Ingredients
- Dough:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup butter melted
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup orange blossom water
- water
- Filling:
- 3 cups ground almonds
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- orange blossom water
Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour, salt, and confectioners' sugar. Add vanilla extract and baking powder, combine the dry ingredients with the melted butter, then add orange blossom water and the water, then mix until everything becomes a dough.
Let it rest for half an hour.
Step 2
Combine all the filling ingredients together and form a pudding with the stuffing. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Cut out triangles of 4 in base and 5.5 in sides.
Step 3
Put the almond pudding on the dough and roll it like croissant. Brush the top of the croissants with egg yolk and sprinkle the tops with crushed almond.
Step 4
Bake until pale golden 20- 25 minutes, let cool.
