Preparation

Step 1

roll out one can of biscuits or croissants onto the bottom of a 8x8 pan (greased)

Step 2

take cream cheese add vanilla and then add 1.4 of sugar and cinnamon mixture and fold until gently added.

Step 3

take second can of dough and lay on top of the cream cheese spread.

Step 4

take melted butter and sugar/cinnamon mixture and with a brush add melted butter to the top and then pour over an even coating the sugar /cinnamon mix.

Step 5

put in the preheated 350 degree f oven and cook for 15- 20 minutes or until the top is dry, and golden brown .

Step 6

after taking out of the oven, you must let it cool all the way down. may be refrigerated for this part. I usually let it sit for about 10 minutes then put in the fridge, just to cool not chill.

Step 7

slice, eat and enjy!!

if you do choose the croissants, you need to pinch the holes in them shut , especially on top. rolling out the cans is easiest you can always use any extra dough with just the butter, sugar cinn, and bake to cans instructions.
if you make a very thin layer on top and bottom, go closer to the time on can, and watch to make sure it doesnt burn. inside if the dough will appear when done to be a little moist, yet the top a nice flaky brown!
you can also add almond extract in place of vanilla it is just a matter of taste. also can make portion sizes for 6 or 8 or if children more as it is very rich.
