Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 8 thick pieces of stale sliced bread
- Butter
- Maple syrup
Preparation
Step 1
Beat eggs, milk, and cinnamon together. Whisk until well blended. Pour into a shallow bowl.
Step 2
Dip each piece of bread into the egg mixture, making sure the bread soaks up the mixture. Melt some butter (or use vegetable oil) in a large skillet on medium high heat. Add as many slices of bread to the skillet as you can. Fry until brown on both sides, flipping the French toast when necessary.
Step 3
Serve while hot topped with butter, maple syrup, or fresh berries.
