This is an awesome, tasty recipe and I think that almost anyone could make, and enjoy, this quick and easy treat. It’s super easy and great to make, and share, with kids.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons flour
  • 9 Tablespoons hot chocolate mix (approximately 3.5 packets)
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Tablespoons water
  • 3 Tablespoons oil
  • Cooking Spray

Preparation

Step 1

Spray a little cooking spray into a large microwavable mug.

Step 2

Measure out the flour and hot chocolate mix into the mug. Stir.

Step 3

Crack the egg into the mug. Stir a bit after adding the egg so the cup doesn’t overflow.

Step 4

Add water and oil.

Step 5

Stir until thoroughly moistened. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the mug with your spoon to avoid any leftover pockets of dry ingredients.

Step 6

Put the mug in the microwave on high and set the timer for 3 minutes.

*As it bakes, a cylinder of cake will start to rise out of the mug. It will settle back into the mug.

*The handle of the mug may be hot, so use a potholder to remove it from the microwave.

*Your cake may look a little damp and wrinkled. This is normal.
