Ingredients
- 12 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 3 cups chicken cut up
- 1 large onion
- 4 celery stalks
- 1 parsnip
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 1 cup pearl barley
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp basil
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients. Simmer until barley is cooked about 45 minutes.
Step 2
Salt and pepper to taste.
