Macadamian Nut Cookies
White chocolate and macadamian nuts in a sweat soft cookie.
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter 1/4 c. shortening 1 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 tsp.baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour
- 3 c. white baking pieces 3 1/2 ounce jar macadamian nuts chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Cream together your room temp. butter and shortening.
Step 2
Add your packed brown sugar,sugar,baking soda,salt,eggs,and vanilla mix well.
Step 3
Then slowly add in your flour scraping the sides as needed until well blended.Add macadamian nuts and white baking pieces mix.
Step 4
Drop by teaspoons full on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Step 5
Bake 375 for 8-9 min.
Done when slightly brown not glossy on top. Remove from cookie sheet.

Chef Tips and Tricks
These salted caramel thumbprint cookies are easy to make and super delicious!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 cup / 50g of softened butter
- 1 egg (divide the yolk and white)
- 1/4 cup / 50g of sugar
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 cup / 150g of flour
- 1 cup / 100g of chopped nuts
- Salted caramel
- Melted dark chocolate
METHOD:

In a bowl, mix together the butter, egg yolk, sugar, and salt.

Add the flour and mix. Roll into a ball.

Chill for 30 minutes.

Remove from refrigerator. Divide the dough and roll into 1-inch balls.

Dip each ball in egg yolk, and then roll in chopped nuts.

Place on baking sheet (lined with parchment paper), and press your thumb into the center.

Bake at 340°F/170°C for 12 minutes, or until golden.

Remove from oven and let cool.

Pour the salted caramel into the center groove,and drizzle with dark chocolate.
