Ingredients
- Fresh Kale , Smoked Meat , Red Pepper Flakes , Salt to taste , Baking Soda
Preparation
Step 1
Cut up Kale into manageable bite sized pieces and soak them in a sink of cold water and baking soda to clean them. Soak for about an hour or two depending on how many bunches of Kale you purchase.
Step 2
Meanwhile in a large stock pot boil the smoked meat, (smoked turkey,hamhocks,neck bones ) . Boil for 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
Step 3
Rinse Kale off and add to stock pot with smoked meat. Boil for about an hour or until tender. Add salt to taste and red pepper flakes while boiling.
Step 4
Enjoy
May add other seasoning to taste.
