Ingredients
- 1 LB Ground beef
- 4-5 Mild Italian sausage (optional)
- 1/2 Red onion
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 1/2 Stick butter
- 1/2 LB Mushrooms
- 2 celery
- 1/4 Cup red wine
- 4 12oz Cans Italian stewed tomatoes
- 1 12oz Can tomato sauce
- 1 8oz Can tomato sauce
- 1/2 Tsp Minced garlic
- 1/4 Tsp Peprica
- 2 Tbs Italian seasoning
- 1 Tbs Oregano
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 Tbs Salt
- 1 Tsp Pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Brown meats with onion and bell pepper
Step 2
Add all cans of tomatoes and seasonings in a big pot
Step 3
Add the meats and bell pepper
Step 4
Stir thoroughly
Step 5
Simmer 1/2 hour
Step 6
Saute mushrooms and celery in butter
Step 7
Add mushrooms, celery and wine in the pot about the 1/2 hour
Step 8
Stir thoroughly
Step 9
Simmer 1/2 hour
Serve with garlic bread
