Akkara vadisal... A sweet rice pudding

Ingredients

  • Rice - 1/3 cup which cooks to 1 cup
  • Jaggery - 1 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Cashews - 1/2 cup
  • Elachi - 1 teaspoon

Preparation

Step 1

Pressure cook rice and mash it.

Step 2

Boil jaggery with little water.

Step 3

Add cooked rice little by little to it and mix well in low flame

Step 4

Add roasted cashews and elachi. mix well and serve
