Praline Pecan Crunch

Ingredients

  • 1 16oz pkg. quaker Oat Squares cereal (8 cups)
  • 2 cups pecan pieces
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250.

Step 2

Combine cereal & pecans in 13X9” pan, set aside.

Step 3

Combine corn syrup, sugar & butter in microwaveable bowl.

Step 4

Microwave on high 1 ½ minutes then stir.

Step 5

Microwave at high ½-1 ½ more minutes or until boiling.

Step 6

Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

Step 7

Pour over cereal mixture. Stir to coat evenly.

Step 8

Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.

Step 9

Spread on baking sheet to cool.

Step 10

Break into pieces. Makes 10 cups.
