Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 3/4 cup melted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat waffle iron
Step 2
Beat eggs until light
Step 3
Sift together flour, salt, soda, and baking powder
Step 4
Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to beaten eggs, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Add melted better; blend thoughly
Step 5
For each waffle, pour batter into center of lower half of waffle iron until it spreads to 1 inch from edge-about 1/2 cup
Step 6
Lower cover on batter; cook as manufacturer directs, or until waffle iron stops steaming
Step 7
Carefully loosen edge of waffle with fork; serve hot
