Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, molasses, and egg until light and fluffy

Step 2

2. Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir into creamed mixture. Place dough in fridge for 2-4 hours or overnight.

Step 3

3. Shape dough into 1" balls and roll or dip in sugar. Place balls about 3" apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Do not flatten.

Step 4

4. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes.
