Ingredients
- 1 chicken
- 3/4 liquid yogurt
- 2 limes
- a small piece of fresh ginger (or 1 teaspoon if powdered ginger)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 cloves of garlic
- rice
- 2-3 half rice
- a bunch of cilantro
- 4 tbsp of honey
- Two handfuls of raisins
Preparation
Step 1
- The day before:
For the marinade: I grate the lemon zest, garlic, ginger, and add turmeric. I mix with yoghurt
- Cut the chicken and soak in the marinade overnight in the refrigerator. 2 to 1 hour before serving: I soak the raisins in the juice of one lemon mixed with water. I cook rice, creole style in a large pot of water. I put the marinated chicken in a wok or large frying pan or greased casserole. First high heat, then when the chicken is cooked over low heat. I can then add yogurt, and lemon juice. I let it simmer half an hour.
Step 2
- When the rice is cooked, I add cilantro, raisins, honey and I warmed it up in the pan with the chicken cooking liquids.
- Everyone will enjoy this recipe with sweet and sour and creamy.
