Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, 1/2 lb bacon, 1 med. onion, 1 green pepper, one 15 1/2 oz can Northern beans (drained), one 15 1/2 oz can kidney beans (drained), one 15 1/2 oz can butter beans (drained), one 16 oz can pork & beans, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 tsp dry mustard, 1 cup ketchup, 2 tbsp. molasses.

Preparation

Step 1

Brown ground beef, and bacon. Drain. Then, add in the onion and pepper (diced). Cook until veggies are soft, about 10 min.

Step 2

Mix the above frying pan ingredients with all the other ingredients in a medium oven roast pan. Cover, then bake at 350 degrees for one hr. Then, bake another 30 min. uncovered.

Step 3

Let cool uncovered 5 minutes, then serve!

This is a very filling dish! Only smaller size plates are necessary. I serve with a light dessert, such as fruit or sorbet.
