Ingredients
- 2 Apples, Braeburn, Golden Delicious, or Granny Smith, cut in to 1/2 cubes
- 2 Medium sized sweet potatoes, cut into 1/2 cubes
- 2 Small or 1 Medium Turnip, cut into 1/2 cubes
- 1/2 Small Sweet Onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Tablespoons of Butter or Oil
- 2 Teaspoons of Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon of Curry Powder
- 1 Teaspoon of Gram Marsla
- Salt and Pepper
- 1/4-1/2 cup of Water, if needed
Preparation
Step 1
Heat butter in large sauté pan until melted
Step 2
Add onions and sauté until slightly brown and add potatoes and turnip and sauté until soft. Add water if needed, in small amounts so as not to lose the browning on surface, to help soften vegetables.
Step 3
Add apples and spices. Cook until apples just soften but not until the apples go mushy.
Step 4
Serve right away. Goes well grilled chicken, salmon, or pork.
