Oven Tacos

Ingredients
- 2 pounds of ground beef or turkey (turkey is a little healthier and still tasty!)
- 2 cups shredded colby jack cheese
- 1 Package of hard taco shells (24 shells)
- 1/2 of an onion chopped (or 1 small onion chopped)
- 16 oz Can of refried beans
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 15 oz can of tomato sauce
- Whatever toppings you'd like (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Olives, etc)
- Homemade Taco Seasoning (see below)
- HOMEMADE TACO SEASONING:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees
Brown the Beef and onion in a skillet then drain liquid
Add all seasonings AND tomato sauce to the meat and cook for about 5 minutes
Fill taco shells with the meat mixture and place in 9x13 baking dish (standing straight up) BE CAREFUL not to over fill the shells
Top with cheese (not too much)
Cook in oven for about 10 minutes (until cheese is melted)
Add toppings
