Ingredients
- 1/3 pound bacon
- 1 onion
- 1 pkg mushrooms
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef stock
Preparation
Step 1
chop and cook bacon until crispy, then remove from pan
Step 2
cook diced onion and quartered mushrooms in bacon fat 5-7 minutes, then remove from pan
Step 3
whisk butter and flour in pan for 2 minutes, then stir in stock and simmer 5 minutes
Step 4
add bacon, onions and mushrooms and serve over spaetzle or pasta
I go light on the beef bouillon, or use half beef and half chicken
