Ingredients
- Medium size pack ground beef
- 1/4tsp each basil leaves and thyme
- Dash each of pepper and curry powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp hp sauce
- 1 tsp worcershire sauce
- Oil to fry
- 1 onion sliced into rings
- 6 button mushrooms sliced
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 cup beef consomme

Preparation
Step 1
Mix together beef with the other ingredients up to the oil to fry. If the mix is too wet still add more bread crumbs. Form into 4 longish shaped patties
Step 2
Heat oil in a large frypan. Fry the patties until cooked through. Remove from pan and keep warm. Add to pan the onions and mushrooms and cook until very tender. Add flour and cook for 1 minute. Use a whisk and mix in consumme and cook until thick. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Serve patties with gravy mixture ovrer the top of each
