Ingredients

  • 7 Medium Potatoes
  • 1 Large Onion Chopped
  • 2 Lbs. Hamburger
  • 2 Cans Carrots
  • 1 1/2 Cups Uncooked Rice
  • Garlic Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Butter and Milk for Mashed Potatoes

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and boil potatoes until tender. Mash, adding butter and milk and salt and pepper to your desired taste.

Step 2

In a pan, boil 3 cups water with salt and pat of butter. When boiling, add 1 1/2 cup rice. Reduce heat to low and cook until water is absorbed.

Step 3

Fry onion in oil until golden. Add hamburger, garlic salt and pepper and brown thoroughly. Add one cup water and cook for 20 minutes. Drain any remaining water from meat.

Step 4

Drain carrots. Add salt and pepper to taste. Make sure every ingredient is seasoned to your liking before preceding.

Step 5

Make layers in a deep baking pan. First rice, then meat, carrots and potatoes on top. Form potatoes into peaks.

Step 6

Bake on 450 degrees until potatoes are light brown on top. About 30 minutes.
