Ingredients
- Lasagna
- 1¼ lbs hamburger
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 4 tsp. ground basil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1-16oz can diced tomatoes, including juice
- 2-3oz cans tomato paste
- 1 pkg lasagna noodles
- 4 cups creamed cottage cheese, or combined with ricotta
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. white pepper
- ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese
- Preheat oven at 375F.
- In a large heavy skillet, brown hamburger over medium heat. Remove fat after browning. Add garlic, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste. Combine and simmer for 15 mins., stirring occasionally.
- In a large bowl combined cottage cheese/ricotta, eggs, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.
- Arrange in layers: Noodles, cheese, meat, mozzarella ……
- OR mix cheese and meat mixture together….Noodles, mix, mozzarella …….
- 13” x 9” X 1 3/4” pan. END WITH MEAT/CHEESE MIXTURE.
- Bake at 375F for 25-30 mins.
- Let stand 5 mins before cutting.
